The ASA Advocacy Coordinator provides independent, professional advocacy services to students focused on (but not limited to) two main areas:

  • Academic issues – including academic grievances, course-related issues and administration problems 
  • Welfare issues – including student hardship (financial or otherwise), personal issues and tenancy problems

Our service is free, prompt, confidential and separate from the University. Besides lending a sympathetic ear, we can offer advice about your rights, university procedures, budgeting, tenancy and more.

There is a drop-in service Monday - Thursday during semester from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Just come to our reception in the Student Lounge, Level 2 of the Student Amenities Centre.

All are welcome to see us for problems of any size or scope.
